"From a walk on one of Ottawa’s south-side Greenbelt trails in mid March. A crisp late winter day when in the shade, but with splurges of warm sun and sap starting to suggest a more colourful interlude to spring. The title is a triple entendre — as we finally emerge from winter, a sudden unexpected beautiful view at an opening in the trail, and looking out from the shaded path down a creek, south to the sun." - lori ridgeway
