"Walking along the Rideau River near Winding Way in the late afternoon in late March. There is still snow. Colour is returning in the warm light, which itself catches the seedheads of the waving bullrushes. This piece is all about rhythm of the moment. The bass and treble clefs emerge, with special solo notes punctuating the music." - lori ridgeway
