olga radushkevich - artist bio

Olga Radushkevich grew up in Siberia near Lake Baikal, a land where she was deeply moved by the beauty of nature which now inspires her art.

Olga studied art in a private art studio in St. Petersburg, Russia, under the mentorship of acclaimed Russian painter and sculptor Lucian Dolinsky from 1992 to 1997. She then lived in Central Russia, studying and practicing medicine. Moving to Canada in 2011 allowed her to devote more time to her art. She participated in numerous art events and exhibitions in her first years in Ottawa. She currently works as an artist in an animation studio in Ottawa, and she paints at every opportunity in her free time.

Olga has worked in many media, including batik and various mixed media techniques, as well as for animation, but she has recently has found her passion in painting landscapes en plein air using watercolours and oils. "I am painting Canadian landscapes now as I feel it is the best way for me to reflect the beauty of our world and our connection to nature."

Her work is in private collections in Canada, Russia, Germany, Belgium, USA. See more about Olga on her website

Olga is new to gallery representation in Canada; Electric Street Gallery is very pleased to represent her. See her exquisite watercolour landscapes of the Ottawa region, as well as her batiks (painting on silk), currently on display at Electric Street Gallery and here
